Linecamp St.Anton, 20. – 21.Dec 2014
The snow cover in St.Anton/Arlberg wasn’t really promising to find any proper face to ride on. But we relied on the snowreport which forecasted 20-30cms of snow for the weekend. On Saturday morning the happy campers and the 2 coaches Flo Orley and me found great snow conditions on the mountain, ideal to get the first powderturns of the season done and carry out the 2014 Linecamp. Besides having fun and riding powder the main focus of the linecamp is to pass on our knowledge as professional freeriders to the young and hungry newcomers. From riding techniques to safety training to the right line choise in theory and on the mountain theres a lot of content in one weekend.
Sunday was a picture perfect powderday with bluebird and 20-30cms of fresh powder. The goal of the day was to ride a proper face and simulate a competition scenario. We found a little but very diverse face with lots of possibilities to choose your own line. The campers went crazy on the face and a great session with great riding action went down. Its always so cool to see the progression of the youth and help them to become smart freerider and raise their confident level. Looking forward to next year.
